Candidate Privacy Notice

This notice explains how DC Digital Talent handles personal information about candidates and potential candidates in our senior mobile talent network.

Who controls your data

The controller is DC DIGITAL TALENT LTD, company number 17345526, registered in England and Wales.

Contact us at ryan@dc-digital-talent.com / grace@dc-digital-talent.com for privacy questions.

Information we may collect

We may collect your name, contact details, CV, work history, education, skills, portfolio links, GitHub or app links, LinkedIn or public professional profile, role preferences, location, availability, compensation expectations, right-to-work information where relevant, interview notes, screening notes, feedback, and communications with you.

Why we use it and lawful bases

We use candidate information to assess role fit, discuss relevant opportunities, represent you to clients with your knowledge, arrange interviews, manage feedback, support offer conversations, keep business records, and protect our legal position.

Our usual lawful bases are legitimate interests in running a recruitment business and introducing suitable candidates, pre-contract steps where you ask us to help with opportunities, consent where we ask for specific permission to share sensitive or optional information, and legal obligation where required.

AI-assisted processing

We may use AI-assisted tools to help organise notes, summarise candidate information, compare experience against a brief, or draft communications. Human review remains part of the process, and we do not make solely automated final hiring decisions.

We avoid putting confidential client information or unnecessary candidate data into tools and expect any AI-assisted output to be checked before it is used.

Sharing

We may share relevant candidate information with clients and hiring teams when discussing roles, with service providers who support email, hosting, document storage, or business operations, and with professional advisers where needed. We do not sell candidate data.

Retention

We keep candidate records for as long as needed to manage opportunities, maintain our talent network, respond to queries, and meet legal or business record requirements. You can ask us to delete or update your details, subject to any records we need to keep.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our use of your personal data. You can also ask us to stop contacting you about roles. Some rights depend on the lawful basis and context.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.
